Camp COASA

COASA (Children of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse) at RFK Community Alliance  and the Labouré Center are co-hosting a week-long summer program for children  living with the stress of alcohol and/or other substance-use disorders at home or within the family. 

Morning sessions include meditation and reflection, strength-building workouts  and educational support groups teaching campers about alcohol and/or other  substance-use disorders, how to deal with their feelings and how to develop  coping skills. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided. 

Afternoons are for lots of fun experiences including outings like rock-climbing,  visits to Boston Harbor Islands, surprise expeditions, boating and swimming.  

There is a required Family Night Orientation and Registration on Wednesday,  July 31, 2024 at 6:00 pm at the Labouré Center for all who wish to participate in  the program.
